Blouberg Strand, one of the many white sandy beaches of Cape Town, has an exquisite view of Table Mountain and is approximately a 20-minute drive from Tijger Slopes B&B. Two Oceans Aquarium on the V&A Waterfront offers a showcase of the beauty hidden under the surface of the Indian and Atlantic oceans.

Cape Point, the extreme southwestern tip of Africa, is one of South Africa's famous landmarks. Enjoy its' untouched beauty with a daytrip along the shoreline of the Cape peninsula to discover the coastal majesty. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens are situated against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain and showcases the magnificent beauty of the Cape Flora. Afternoon picnics or open-air summer theatre are well worth the 20-minute drive. The V&A Waterfront utilizes Cape Town's working harbour by offering visitors scenic stroles, entertainment, dining and shopping at the foot of Table Mountain. Harbour tours or boat trips in Table Bay are easily accessed from here.
Tygerberg Nature Reserve is within walking distance from Tijger Slopes. Hiking trails on the reserve cover 7680m and can comfortably be walked in 2 hours. The reserve is home to bontebok, turtle and a wide variety of bird species. Enjoy spectacular 360 degree views. This is one of the few places you will find the extremely endangered species of renosterveld. Enjoy a night out at the Barnyard theatre,  trendy clubs and restaurants on Edward Street and at the Tyger Valley Waterfront. During school holidays,spend the day at the Ratanga Junction Theme Park.
Grand West Casino offers a wide variety of entertainment: ice skating, fine dining, cinemas, gambling and children's entertainment all within a 15-minute drive. Clara Anna Fontein Private Game Reserve brings the African wildlife to the doorstep of the Northern Suburbs.
